Insulation and Lining
If you have purchased or are looking to buy a wooden garage and would like to insulate and line the inside, then you will need to follow a few guidelines.
Insulation Tips

1
Floor Insulation
When constructing a base from scratch, it may well pay to add Jablite (polystyrene), to keep an ambient temperature. Adding insulation is a standard practice in housebuilding and will retain heat in the winter, but to be honest, it's not very common to insulate a garage floor, as they're not often heated.
2
Wall Insulation
Adding insulation to the walls is a simple task that can be done after assembly. Simply install Jablite, Rockwool or Celotex into the cavity before adding wiring and the internal boarding. We suggest an air gap of 25mm, which also allows for cables to be installed. The insulation also adds a noise barrier, which is great if you're close to neighbours.
3
Roof Insulation
It is important that an air gap is left between the underside of the roof board and the top of the insulation. This is required for a cold roof system to stop internal condensation. Don't forget to add wiring before fitting the internal lining, and be aware that you need two people to lift the boards - so an extra pair of hands is vital.
